Geo-Hazard Map of Barangay Himos-onan is a critical safety document designed to identify areas at risk from natural disasters, primarily focusing on flooding and soil instability.

The map overlays risk zones onto a topographical background of Contour Lines, which indicate the steepness of the terrain. Two primary hazards are quantified in the legend: Flooding Areas (covering $\sim 3.93$ Ha) and Erosion Areas (covering $\sim 5.87$ Ha). These high-risk zones are marked with dark red/brown polygons, showing exactly where the land is most vulnerable to heavy rainfall or landslides. By showing these hazards in relation to the 3.6 km of Provincial Roads and local Barangay Roads, the map serves as an essential tool for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM). It allows local authorities to plan safe evacuation routes, restrict building in dangerous zones, and implement engineering solutions—like retaining walls or improved drainage—to protect the community’s 231.34-hectare territory.
