FLOOD MAP

The Flood Map of Barangay Tambis II provides a spatial assessment of the community’s vulnerability to rising water levels based on its proximity to the Lawigan River and local creek systems. The majority of the eastern territory, encompassing 150.67 hectares, is classified as Category D and is currently not affected by flooding. However, the western agricultural and residential sectors face severe risks: 93.23 hectares are susceptible to significant flooding between 3 and 5 feet (Category B), while a smaller 3.95-hectare area near the residential core is at risk for water levels under 3 feet (Category C). By identifying specific flood routes (red arrows) that threaten critical infrastructure like the Gawad Kalinga Compound, the School, and the Health Center, this map serves as a vital tool for developing targeted evacuation plans and flood mitigation infrastructure.
