EROSION MAP

The Erosion Map of Barangay Tabon-Tabon identifies high-risk geological areas within the community’s rugged terrain to inform disaster preparedness and land management. The map highlights several critical Erosion areas (shaded in solid red) primarily located in the eastern and central-northern sectors of the barangay. These hazard zones are depicted alongside the community’s primary transportation routes, including the Provincial Road (brown), the Barangay Road (orange), and the Dumpsite road (yellow), illustrating the potential threat to local infrastructure. Set against a backdrop of dense contour lines, this spatial data provides a clear visualization of how the steep topography contributes to soil instability, serving as an essential tool for identifying where mitigation efforts are most needed.

 

FLOODING HAZARD

The Flooding Hazard Map of Barangay Tabon-Tabon identifies specific zones at risk of inundation, primarily centered along the community’s main river and residential corridor. The map categorizes flood risks by water level, with the largest affected area expected to reach a depth of 1.5 meters (covering ~0.75 hectares), followed by areas at 1 meter depth (~0.515 hectares). Smaller, high-intensity pockets are also noted with potential water levels reaching 2.5 meters and 4 meters. By overlaying these hazard zones with the Provincial Road and the clustered Settlement area, the map provides a critical visualization for local authorities to prioritize emergency response and long-term flood mitigation infrastructure.
