FLOOD MAP

The Flood Map of Barangay Libas identifies specific zones susceptible to flooding and the projected depth of water during such events. The map categorizes the “Flooding Area” into three levels: Category A predicts a flood depth of 5 ft (covering ~3.640 hectares), Category B at 3 ft (~10.518 hectares), and Category C at 2 ft (~4.163 hectares). These high-risk zones are primarily concentrated along the eastern and southern borders adjacent to Barangay Catmon and the local river systems. Notably, the map shows that the community’s primary built-up area and several cash crop sections are located directly within or adjacent to these flood-prone zones, highlighting a significant vulnerability for residential and agricultural assets.
