FLOOD MAP

The flood map of Barangay Carnaga in Saint Bernard, Southern Leyte, illustrates the various levels of inundation risk and actual flooded areas based on historical data. According to the legend, the territory is divided into four categories of impact: Category A (greater than 6 feet) covering 1.37 hectares, Category B (3 to 5 feet) spanning 87.35 hectares, Category C (less than 3 feet) at 14.06 hectares, and Category D (not affected) which accounts for the largest portion at 135.68 hectares. The map also visualizes flood routes (red arrows) that originate from the Lawigan River and internal creeks, showing how water moves through the central and western regions of the barangay toward the residential settlements and agricultural lands.
